Practical Information

Getting in Touch:

You can contact me by email or by phone (details at the bottom of this page). Whichever way you choose, it’s helpful to tell me a bit about yourself – what brings you to therapy, what’s going on for you and what you are hoping for. I can answer any questions you may want to know about how I work. If this feels right for you, we can work out if I have a space that works in terms of timing and location. If so, we can arrange an initial session so that we can meet, see what it’s like to work together and you can get a feel for therapy with me. You may then decide straight away whether or not you wish to continue or you may want to take a few days to think it over.

Time:

I offer individual, weekly, 50 minute sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the working day. Once we find a time that fits, we will stick to this time and place each week.

Location:

I am able to offer therapy from two different locations now.

On Tuesday mornings I work from a location on the edge of Bath, a short (10-15 minutes) drive from the centre, towards Englishcombe, a peaceful, rural location:

Haycombe Farmhouse, Haycombe Lane, Bath, BA2 9DN

On Wednesdays and on Thursday mornings I work from a therapy space in central Bath,  well connected to transport and other amenities:

2nd Floor, 2 Princes Buildings, George Street, Bath, BA1 2ED, http://www.bathpsychotherapy.co.uk

I also work with a small number of clients online.

Fee:

My fee is currently £55 per session.

Attendance, Holidays, Cancellations:

When we agree to work together, I will keep this space for you, and I ask you to endeavour to keep this appointment each week with me. If you are not able to attend it is helpful to let me know in advance as wherever possible, I will try to offer an alternative time for you, however, if you are not able to attend there will be the fee to pay. I take holidays usually for a month over the summer, two weeks at Christmas and at Easter and may take other days here and there when necessary. I will let you know with plenty of notice when possible of any holidays or breaks and there will be no charge for my absences.

Confidentiality:

I am a member of UKCP and adhere to their code of ethics and confidentiality. Essentially, our work remains confidential though I may be obliged to break this confidentiality in particular circumstances, for example, if you or someone else is at risk from harm. I would endeavour to inform you in advance if I were to break confidentiality for any reason.

I adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that came into effect in May 2018. This means any data I hold about you such as session notes, your contact details are stored securely. I make brief session notes and these are stored in a locked filing cabinet and are kept separately from any identifying information, such as your name and telephone number. I am required to hold your notes for up to seven years and it is your legal right to request to see these should you need to.

There will be times when I will discuss our work together for supervision purposes, with my supervisor and colleagues. Your identity will always be protected.
